Membership requirements state that you must agree with the beliefs and practices of The Lord’s House. The statement of faith is as follows:
The scripture is inspired: the Bible is the Inspired and only infallible and authoritative word of God. 2 Timothy 3:15-17; 2 Peter 1:19-21
Salvation through Christ: Man, by voluntary transgression, fell, and his only Hope of Redemption is in Jesus Christ the Son of God. The Grace of God which brings salvation to all men who repent to God and have faith toward the Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 10:13; Ephesians 2:8-9
Water baptism: The baptism in water signifies to the world that we have repented and have accepted Christ into our hearts and Savior and Lord. In doing so, we have washed the body and with pure water as an outward symbol of cleansing, while our hearts have already been cleansed with the blood of Christ. Thus we signify that we have died with Jesus and have been raised with Him to walk in newness of life. Matthew 28:19-20; Mark 16:16; Acts 10:47-48
Baptism in the Holy Spirit: The baptism in the Holy Spirit according to Acts 2:4 is given to believers who ask for it. With it comes the endowment of power for life and service. The baptism in the Holy Spirit is witnessed by the initial sign of speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives them utterance. Acts 2:38-39; Acts 10:44-46
Divine healing: Deliverance from sickness is provided for the atonement and is the privilege of all believers. James 5:14-16
Hell / The lake of fire: Hell is a literal place of outer darkness, bitter sorrow, remorse, and woe perp\are for the devil and his angels. Those who have not received salvation through Jesus shall be consigned to everlasting punishment in the lake which burn with fire and brimstone. Luke 16:19-31; Revelation 19:20; Revelation 20:10-15
Heaven / Life after death: Heaven is the indescribably glorious habitation of the loving God, and Jesus now sits at the right hand of the Father forever making intersession for the saints. Jesus has gone to prepare a place for the believers. All those dead in christ and the believers who are awaiting His return, will reign with Jesus forever in anew heaven, new earth, and new city. There will be unutterable joy, where we will behold His wonderful face, in an everlasting kingdom with time and eternity without end. John 14:1-3; 1 Corinthians 15:51-58: 2 Peter 3:13; Revelation 21:1-7; Revelation 22:1-6
Communion: In remembrance of our Lord Jesus’ sacrifice for our sins, we periodically partake in the Lord’s Supper with a water and grape juice. We have open communion, you do not have to be member of The Lord’s House to participate, but you must be a born-again Christian. We encourage each individual to participate to examine his heart and make his relationship right with God before partaking in communion. 1 Corinthians 11:23-28
Tithes / Offerings: The tithe (10%) of everything belongs to God. As believers, we give to God first and believe the rest is blessed by the Lord. Offerings are anything we give to God over and above our tithe. We believe the Lord releases blessings upon his people when they give to others. Stewardship offering is a way to give God our first-fruits. Each week we give God the first hour of our wages as an example of stewardship. This offering, although different in monetary amount for each individual, it is equal in that each individual gives their own hourly wage. We hope that each Monday morning as you begin you weeks work, that you will pray and give that first hour a week to the Lord with all of your mind, heart, should, and strength. Genesis 4:3-5; Leviticus 27:30-33; Numbers 18:21-26; Malachi 3:8-10; Luke 19:1-9
Missions / Evangelism: Soul-winning is the chief mission of the church upon the earth. The great commission of our Lord Jesus Christ to carry the gospel to the entire world is literal, imperative, and binding today. It is the supreme privilege and duty of the church of Jesus Christ to stress the cause of world-wide missions and support the foreign missions program. Matthew 9:38; Mark 16:15; James 5:20
Marriage / Relations: Marriage, as accepted by God, and this fellowship according to the word of God, is exclusively between one man and one woman. We do not accept the homosexual lifestyle as pleasing to God but as the sinful nature of mankind in need of repentance. We will not issue membership or marriages to men or women professing to be homosexual. Genesis 2:21-25; Matthew 19:4-12; 1 Corinthians 7:1-17; Romans 1:26-32; Hebrews 13:4
